Team GB protest mars Wales friendly win over Norway

Gareth Bale scored in Wales' 4-1 win over Norway

Wales fans showed their displeasure at Gareth Bale and Aaron Ramsey posing in Team GB shirts ahead of next summer's Olympic Games after their side beat Norway 4-1 in a friendly.

Spurs winger Bale scored the opening goal of the game before Liverpool's Craig Bellamy added a second. Norway pulled one back but Wolves striker Sam Vokes scored twice late on to make it 4-1 and deliver another win for manager Gary Speed.

However, the win was marred by the fact some fans protested about Ramsey and Bale posing in the shirts recently, with both men barracked as they climbed aboard the team bus after the match.

A banner proclaiming "No Team GB" was also unfurled briefly at one point in the game.

An spokesman for the FAW said: "There were some fans who chose to voice their opinion over the issue of Team GB selection, but we had security people with the team so the players were never in any danger."

He added that the FAW respects the right of supporters to give their opinion.
