A recent study conducted by Plum District, a consumer discount site aimed at mothers, revealed how moms across the country really feel about the school year getting closer and the summer nearing its end.
The survey found mothers have a difficult time adjusting to their children going back for the most part, and can have a much tougher time than their kids. In fact, 40 percent of moms said they were the most upset family member, followed by kids at 33 percent. The majority of moms are worried their child will be bullied and the second concern is whether or not they will have a good teacher.
"During back to school time, most of the focus is on the kids and getting them ready, but what many people don't think about is that it's a transition for Mom too!" said Megan Gardner, CEO of Plum District. "What didn't surprise us is that even during this busy time, they still value time spent with the whole family together, like dinner time. At Plum District, we realize it's Moms who need help and special attention. That's why we offer deals especially for moms, by moms to make her life easier."
